We're FINALLY parents!!

It has been 4 years in the making, but we're now PARENTS to Kora!

We began a journey four years ago to adopt a child, and on Monday (while Julie was on a plane to TX to host a couple of onsite training sessions for work, of course) John received a call that our 3 month old daughter was awaiting our arrival in St Louis!   SURPRISE!  You're going to be PARENTS!

Needless to say once Julie arrived in TX and heard this news, (aside from being awe struck and speechless) she got right back on a plane to go home and the next day we ran ourselves ragged to then hop on another plane in the afternoon to St Louis to realize a dream.   It has been quite the journey getting to this point, and another journey has just begun.   We couldn’t be any more excited, emotional and EXHAUSTED!

Julie posted this news on Facebook and within hours there were 72 comments. (is that a world record for a personal post?)  The congratulatory words, virtual hugs, and overwhelming support from friends, family, and co-workers has been AMAZING!

Hopefully we'll be home before the 4th of July, but who knows as the state of MO needs to process paperwork to release Kora from their state, and the state of NH needs to process paperwork to accept her into our state.  Then we'll be able to settle into a routine of our own, in our own home...it sure is tough on the road!

Oh...and I know EVERYONE has asked for photos, but unfortunately Kora HATES the camera (hopefully she outgrows that as she gets older as mommy LOVES to take pictures!) so this was taken with our phone to help tide everyone over until we can get others.

WARNING: her eyes may make you melt!

The elated parents,
Julie & John
